The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade (Ukrainian: 3-тя окрема штурмова бригада , romanized: 3-tya okrema shturmova bryhada ) is a specialized combat unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces , established in 2022 .

It originally emerged from the volunteer corps “Azov” and was integrated into the regular armed forces of Ukraine during the Russian war of aggression.

The brigade specializes in offensive operations, urban warfare, and assault operations and is considered one of the most active and combat-experienced units in the current war. It has participated in battles in Bakhmut and other hotspots in eastern Ukraine , among others.
