The expression was first used on February 28, 2014 by Sevastopol journalist Boris Rozhin in LiveJournal (Colonel Kassad: "Polite people seized two airfields in Crimea"). The basis was a message from an interlocutor of the PolitNavigator publication: "At about one in the morning, Simferopol airport was seized by the same people. The security chief said that his people were politely asked to leave."
