The Patrol backpack is based on the renowned RD-54 and has incorporated some of its best features into the newer models. It is currently in use by the Russian ground forces, airborne troops, and marines.

The backpack consists of three compartments: a main compartment with a waterproof document pocket, two side pockets, and a flap with two hidden pockets (white rain cover included). It also features extended shoulder straps for use with Soviet/Russian parachute systems and a hard back panel. This type of backpack is included in the 6B52 Ratnik equipment set and has a volume of 25 liters.
